Dude, You Hear What I Hear?

dude-you-hear-what-i-hear-imageTONIGHT is our Christmas Play!  We are so excited and looking forward to helping others understand that Christmas isn’t about a guy named Felix Navidad, how grandma got run over by a reindeer or even the 40% shopping sales at Mondo-Mart, but about a baby named Jesus who came to save us ALL!
So, come join us tonight in the gymnasium at 6:30 P.M. and hear the TRUE meaning of Christmas! (The gym doors will open at 6:00 P.M.)

¡Te Extrañaremos, Senora Simbeck¡

Mrs. Simbeck Going AwayMrs. Simbeck was suprised when she walked into the gym and saw all of the students wanting to wish her good luck and let her know she will be missed when she and her family move to Puerto Rico.  They made her cards and gave her beautifully, handmade flowers.  ¡Te Extrañaremos, Senora Simbeck!  (We will miss you, Mrs. Simbeck!)

Social Studies Cultures

SS CultureIn Kindergarten, we are learning about different cultures. This week we studied about how each culture has different types of homes. Some of the homes are made of brick, rock, and mud. Some people in Turkey live in cave dwellings and people can live in boat houses in Thailand. Native Americans lived in tepees, and in Africa people can live in round mud huts. Cultures are very interesting and we enjoyed making different types of homes with recycled milk and juice boxes.
