Today, our 3rd-8th grade students went to the Catholic Pastoral Center for All Schools Mass in Nashville. They had the privilege to hear Bishop J. Mark Spalding, the new Diocese of Nashville Bishop. It will be the first time most of them have ever had the opportunity to celebrate mass with a bishop.

The 5th/6th grade have worked for the last week on researching either an extinct or endangered animal. They researched and took notes on a specific animal, then chose a project to complete to share what they learned. Students wrote magazine articles, short stories, created infographics, and one made a video. Students shared their final products with the class today.

Our excitement is building for our book fair next week!!! Some of our lucky 5th-8th graders will get to take home some of these great books tomorrow after a Chinese Auction. Our “Paws for Books” Book Fair will begin Saturday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (January 27 – February 2).

Sacred Heart School has the BEST EVER school lunch ladies!!! Everyone enjoyed their lunch today with a great Turkey Deli Croissant or PBJ Uncrustable Sandwich and a Baked Potato with some pretty colorful vegetables and either oranges or grapes and a cookie or a rice crispy treat with milk or water. What a SHAKE UP!!! The 5th & 6th grade class stole the thunder out from under the rest with their win. Today, the classes raised over $2,000!!!
Sacred Heart wants to thank the PTO for sponsoring the Penny Drive and working tirelessly at counting pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, & dollars. ULA Field Trip

The 5th-8th Grades went on their field trip today to the United Launch Alliance in Decatur, AL to see how rockets were made. IT WAS AWESOME!!! We had a great tour lead by our tour guides, Cady & Natalie. I see engineers in some of their futures.
