We’ve had an excellent soccer season this year and have been led by some of the best players we’ve had. They’ve surpassed expectations and shined this year. They’ve been a joy and a treat to watch whether it was Sam Dean stopping the ball kicked at an impossible angle to the goal, Gabby Durham not being intimidated playing her first year against a well-seasoned player or Michael Marks consistently going head-to-head against any of his opponents. We’ve watched Logan McMasters show great leadership in both skill and abilities and seen the great footwork and strength shown by Alex Murray as he “streaks” across the field to help his team in a time of need. We will miss you all next year, but know you have left a great legacy in surpassing expectations.
Today is their last game as we play Lawrenceburg’s SHS in L’burg @ 6PM.

WE ARE! Our basketball season begins tonight! It begins at 6:00, so come on out and support our team. We play in Lawrenceburg against Clifton tonight and Zion tomorrow night.
Yesterday, our athletes and their families met at St. Joe’s City Park for the Sports’ Picnic. We had a cookout with hotdogs, hamburgers, watermelon and many more sweets! It wasn’t quite warm enough for the creek, but a few brave ones (or maybe not so smart ones!) jumped in. Coaches Susan and Jeff Methvin gave out the awards and acknowledged how well each one did. We had several students who were consistently in the top 20 at the Cross Country meets. And, our soccer team was undefeated with only 3 goals scored against them! Great Job, Athletes!!! We want to especially congratulate our 8th graders as they led us in a great year and we will miss them. They are Karissa Coggin, Mary White, John-Paul Littrell, Jude Thomas, Kane West, and Sam Methvin. Not pictured-Grace Forsythe.
We are gearing up for an awesome soccer season! We will begin our season on Tuesday, March 1st, playing at Zion Christian Academy at 4:30 P.M. Last Friday, we played a local scrimmage game in preparation of the season and wore our Pray for Emily shirts to support and honor Emily Marks. It was a great game with lots of competitiveness! This year, SHS Patriots is ALIVE & KICKING!!!
Tonight was our last time to see our 8th grade basketball players in action at home and……THEY PLAYED GREAT!!! They reminded everyone in the stands they owned the court and proceeded to show the other team as well. Our 8th grade students are Kane West, Jude Thomas, Sam Methvin and John-Paul Littrell. They are shown here with Coach William West. We are very proud of each of them and will miss them.
We are proud of our 8th grade boys – John-Paul Littrell, Sam Methvin, Jude Thomas & Kane West. Congratulations on a great season, you will be greatly missed.

We had an exceptional day at the third Sunday cross country meet of the season! The clouds kept the temps cooler and the rain held off! Most every runner improved their times, and some even improved so much they might be rewarded with a mini donkey! Hayden Marks, 1 & 2 grade boys, and Presley Morris, 7 & 8 grade girls, both finished in the top 15 of their division. Next week will finish up the Diocesean Cross Country season with the championship meet! 5-8 grade runners will also be competing for the second week in the middle school cross country race at David Crockett State Park. Keep on Running!
